Officers arrest burglary, theft suspect; Drug & Battery Arrests; BPD Daily Incident Report

Arrested: Shawn T. Delvecchio, 38, Boise

Charged: Grand Theft (F), Burglary (F)

Boise Police were contacted Friday, Oct. 19th by a citizen reporting their West Boise home had been recently burglarized and items in excess of $1,000 had been taken. Investigating officers found evidence an acquaintance of the victim, Delvecchio was responsible for the burglary and theft . Officers arrested Delvecchio yesterday afternoon. Officers were able to recover the stolen items. The suspect was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.

Arrested: James R. Linzi, II, 41, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance - Meth (F), Possession of Prescription Drugs Without a Prescription (F)

Boise Police officers on patrol shortly after 3:00 this morning witnessed a vehicle make a wide turn and cross over the double yellow dividing line at an intersection near Americana Blvd and Shoreline Dr. Officers made a traffic stop on the vehicle. A Boise Police drug detection dog, Kamo alerted on the suspect, Linzi, who was a passenger in the vehicle, and to an area below the front passenger seat. Further investigation found the suspect in possession of a prescription pain med without the prescription, and three syringes, one filled with a liquid substance which field tested positive as methamphetamine. The suspect was arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Evelyne M. Messer, 18, Eagle

Charged:  Aggravated Assault (F). Battery (F)

Boise Police were called to a fight with a deadly weapon in the retail area of W. Franklin Rd. and N. Milwaukee St. yesterday shortly after 4:00 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the victim who told officers the suspect, an acquaintance, had lunged at the victim with a knife and made threatening statements. As the victim walked away, the suspect is accused of pushing the victim. Officers were able to identify and locate the suspect a short time later. She was arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.
