BPD K-9 leads officers to more than 4 lbs of marijuana; Daily incident report

    Charges: Trafficking (marijuana)(F), Failure to Appear Warrant charges (m)

    Arrested: Tyler P. Kennedy, 28, Meridian

    Charges: Trafficking (marijuana)(F)

   Boise Police on patrol last night, October 17th, at approximately 8:00 p.m. observed a vehicle with a headlight out during the hours of darkness and conduct a traffic stop near Broadway Avenue and Chamberlin Street. As officers contacted the driver, a Boise Police K-9 named "Jaxx" alerted on the vehicle indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 2,038 grams (more than four pounds) total package weight of marijuana in the trunk. A check through Ada County Dispatch indicated that Chelsea Keena also had a current warrant for her arrest on Failure to Appear charges. The suspects were booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Warrant Arrested: Damian J. Hendricks, 33, Boise

    Warrant Charges: Robbery (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Robbery early this morning.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into an incident that took place in downtown Boise on July 13th of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in using physical force to take the victim's wallet and then flee on foot. A detailed investigation identified the suspect. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office resulting in the felony warrant. Further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

   Arrested: Brandi A. Greene, 33, Nampa

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane as it travelled on 11th Street near Front Street early this morning, October 18th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. The suspect, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .14/.14 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Justin S. Killary, 25, Boise

   Charges: Forgery (F), Grand Theft (F), Parole Violation Warrant charges (F)

    Boise Police arrested Justin Killary yesterday, October 17th, as part of an ongoing investigation by Boise Police Detectives into a forged check passed at a local merchant. Detectives have evidence that indicates the suspect was involved in passing the forged document to obtain funds. After a detailed investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Ganigan J. Nelsioni, 43, Houston TX

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into funds obtained through fraudulent means at local merchants in February of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in obtaining money through the use of false identification on more than one occasion in Boise. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant. Further inquiries into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

   Arrested: David A. Cowan, 25, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

   Warrant Charges: 3 counts of Probation Violation (m), 4 counts of Contempt of Court (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 300 block of North Milwaukee Street yesterday, October 17th. Officers witnessed the suspect select several items at the store and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. A check through Ada County Dispatch confirmed the suspect had several warrants for his arrest. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

   Arrested: Diane M. Cain, 46, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 1500 block of West State Street early this morning, October 18th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
