Theft and drug offenses keep officers busy over the weekend; Weekend incident report

   Arrested: Timothy T. Russell, 38, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)

    Boise Police responded to a disturbance at a residence on the 2100 block of Brittany Lane Friday afternoon, September 10th, at approximately 5:00 p.m. The victim tells police she returned to her home and found the suspect, who is an acquaintance, passed out on the floor in her living room. The suspect did not have permission to be at the home and appeared to be very intoxicated at the time. At one point the victim tells police she began to pull the suspect out of the home when he became violent and put his hands around her throat choking her. The victim managed to push the suspect out the front door as officers arrived. After a detailed investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 9 ASSAULT AND BATTERY 18-905. Aggravated assault defined. An aggravated assault is an assault: (a)  With a deadly weapon or instrument without intent to kill; or (b)  By any means or force likely to produce great bodily harm

   Arrested: Malcolm R. Gryder Jr. 40, Baker City OR.

   Charges: Malicious Injury to Property (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m), 2 counts of Battery (m)

    Boise Police responded to a disturbance at a medical facility on the 300 block of North Allumbaugh Street Sunday afternoon, September 9th, at approximately 1:30 p.m. Staff members tell police the suspect became angry and violent with employees of the facility and shoved two of them while making threats. Witnesses tell police the suspect also flipped tables over and threw electronic equipment around a room destroying it. The damage is estimated to exceed $6,000.00. Officers issued several instructions to the suspect that he refused to comply with. The suspect physically resisted being placed in handcuffs. After a brief struggle the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Joel D. Rubink, 26, Boise

   Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Psilocybin Mushrooms)(F), Delivery of a Controlled Substance (marijauna)(F)

   Arrested: Erin M. Day, 29, Meridian

   Charges: Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Psilocybin Mushrooms)(F), Delivery of a Controlled Substance (marijauna)(F)

    Boise Police received a citizen report that indicated someone had hidden a duffel bag containing illegal drugs in the bushes near a residence at Vista and Palouse Streets early this morning, September 10th, at approximately 1:30 a.m. The calling party also gave a description of a vehicle involved in the criminal activity. Officers located a vehicle matching the description in the area and approached a nearby shed the vehicle was parked near at a commercial property on the 1900 block of South Vista. As officers approached the vehicle and the shed they observed in plain sight, several duffle bags, 36 baggies containing marijuana with a combined total package weight of 424 grams, 3 baggies containing approximately 116 grams total package weight of psilocybin mushrooms, cash and packaging materials. The suspects where taken into custody near the contraband. After a detailed investigation the suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Andrew J. Dechambeau, 24, Boise

  Charges: Burglary (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Heroin)(F), Failure to Appear Warrant charges (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Battery (m)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8300 block of West Overland Road Sunday afternoon, September 9th, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect remove a security device from a cell phone and conceal it on his person. Loss prevention employees confronted the suspect who dropped the phone on the floor. Witnesses tell police the suspect then charged at the employee and shoved him into a door causing an injury to the employees hand. Witnesses then grabbed the suspect in the parking lot and held him until police took him into custody. During a search of the suspects person officers recovered a plastic baggy with 1.7 grams true weight of Heroin, 3 syringes, 1 metal spoon with residue on it, cotton swabs a digital scale and .5 grams of marijuana. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Jonathan M. Grow, 34, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle speeding as it traveled Southbound on 6th Street between Front and Myrtle Streets late Friday night, September 7th, at approximately 11:50 p.m. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .13/.13 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Kevin L. Mcginley, 44, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving Without Privileges (DWP)(m)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle with expired registration and conducted a traffic stop near Highland and Longmont Streets late Friday night, September 7th, at approximately 11:40 p.m. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Heath T. Clyne, 38, Transient

   Charges: 2 counts of Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a vehicle burglary that had just taken place in the parking lot of a business on the 1600 block of West State Street Friday evening, September 7th, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect, was seen going through the parking lot attempting to gain access to cars. Witnesses say the suspect did take items out of two vehicles. Using information provided by the witness officers located the suspect on foot nearby and recovered the stolen items from his person. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Justin D. Hogarth, 26, Boise

   Charges: 2 counts of Burglary (F), Probation Violation charges (F), Failure to Appear (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a vehicle burglary that had just taken place in a parking lot on the 3000 block of West Main Street Friday morning, September 7th, at approximately 6:30 a.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect, was seen going through a parking lot attempting to gain access to cars. Witnesses say they observed the suspect get into two vehicles. Using information provided by the witness, officers located the suspect on foot nearby and recovered several items that had been stolen from the vehicles. Officers also learned the suspect had an outstanding warrant for his arrest on Failure to Appear charges. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
