Boise Police responded to a report of a problem subject at a residence on the 2600 block of South Gourley Street last night, September 27th, at approximately 9:00 p.m. The victim, a resident, tells police the suspect was at the home uninvited. At one point, the victim says he began to argue with the suspect about being at the residence. According to the victim, the suspect picked up a two foot long wooden "dowel" and threatened to strike the victim. The victim tells police he was afraid for his safety. A third party called police. As officers arrived at the home to investigate the incident they noted the suspect was holding a plastic bottle that had been fashioned into a pipe. After the suspect was taken into custody on the assault charge, a search of his person revealed a glass meth pipe, a glass jar with a small amount of marijuana and a baggie containing a small amount of meth. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Warrant Arrested: Edward C. Jarzabek, 31, Kuna

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a bank account the suspect opened at a Boise Bank in February of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect presented a fraudulent check for more than $4,000.00 to open the account and defraud the bank of funds. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
