Arrested: Joey A. Willard, 20, Boise
Charged: DUI, Leaving the scene of an Injury Crash (F) ISC 18-8007
Boise Police were called by witnesses to a crash at the intersection of N. Cloverdale Rd and W. Fairview Ave last night at approx.. 11:40 p.m. Officers found two vehicles involved in the crash; one, a silver Mitsubishi sedan was still in the intersection; the other, a green ’97 Chrysler van was parked just out of the intersection on Cloverdale. The male driver of the sedan and a female passenger were both still on scene. Officers were told the female passenger was nine months pregnant. Both occupants of the sedan were taken by paramedics to a nearby hospital for treatment of what appeared at the time to be non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses told officers the driver of the van was headed north on Cloverdale, had run the red light colliding with the sedan that was headed westbound on Fairview. Several witnesses said they saw the van driver park the van and run off. Witnesses were able to give officers a description of the man. Using that description and other evidence gathered at the scene, officers soon found the driver outside a convenience store at W. Ustick and N. Five Mile Roads. Speaking with the driver, officers could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver, Willard, failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested and blew a .129/.129 . Willard was booked into the Ada County Jail for DUI under 21yrs (18-8004 1-D) and also for Felony leaving the scene of an automobile accident with injuries.
Arrested: Ray A. Rico, 28, Boise
Charged: Possession on a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver – Marijuana (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)
Boise Police Neighborhood Contact Officers, after investigating a citizen complaint of possible drug use, obtained a search warrant for a home on the 100 block of N. Liberty Street. When officers arrived at the house yesterday afternoon, Sept. 17th, they could immediately smell the odor of marijuana. Searching the house, inside officers found approximately 2.23 ounces of green leafy substance that field tested presumptively positive for marijuana. Officers found the marijuana in a plastic container with a digital scale sitting on top of it that also had a heavy green residue. The residue also field tested positive for marijuana. Near the plastic container was a tin with several hundred dollars cash inside. The suspect was arrested on the above charges.

Arrested: Randy D. Treas, 49, Boise
Charged: Aggravated Battery (F)
Boise Police were called by witnesses to a fight in progress at a home near S. Orchard St. and W. Overland Rd. early Monday evening, Sept. 17th. When officers arrived, they found a teen male with several scrapes and bruises consistent with being in a fight. Officers called paramedics to transport the victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to evidence collected at the scene, the teen had been battered by the suspect following a verbal argument that turned physical. Both the suspect and victim are known to each other. The suspect was arrested on the above charge and booked into the Ada County Jail.
