Update: Two suspects in custody following armed robbery

   Arrested: Brian G. Fletcher, 41, of Arizona

   Charges: Robbery

   Arrested: Brandy J. Vialpando, 38, of Arizona

   Charges: Robbery

  Detectives are in the process of booking the two suspects into jail on the above listed charges. Addtional charges may be pending at a later time. Officers did recover a handgun from the crash scene that detectives believe the supsects used in the robbery.

   Boise police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store on the 300 block of North Orchard Street this evening, August 31st, at approximately 6:35 p.m. Witnesses tell police an adult male suspect entered the store and displayed a weapon, before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

   Moments after the vehicle description was relayed to officers, the suspect vehicle was sighted in the area of Chinden and 34th Street. The suspects immediately fled Northbound on 34th,  traveling at a high rate of speed. The suspect vehicle ran out of road and drove directly into the Boise River near the waterfall at the end of 34th Street. As officers reached the vehicle, the adult male attempted to run across the river, before becoming tired and giving up. The adult female surrendered immediately.

  No one was injured during the incident. The suspects are currently in custody. No further information is available at this time.
