Plan to attend Community Shred-It Day!

Help Prevent ID Theft! Bring personal informational items to the Community Shred It Day event!

 Boise Police and Crime Stoppers are urging citizens to help prevent identity theft by bringing in items with personal information in to be shredded on Community Shred It Day, Saturday September 29th at the Ada County Sheriff's Office parking lot.

    Who: Sponsored by the Boise are Crime Stoppers

    What: Shred It Day

    Where: Ada County Sheriff's Parking Lot, 7200 Barrister Dr., Boise

    When: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Saturday September 29th 

    Why: Thieves are getting more sophisticated with technology. A stolen identity could cost you thousands, not to mention the headaches of straightening the mess out with your financial institutions and lenders.

    Shredding personal documents, or ANYTHING with your personal information on it can help prevent identity theft.

    Boise Police and Crime Stoppers urge citizens who don't have access to personal shredding options, to bring in items to Community Shred It Day. 

  Items that can be shredded include:

  • Tax Papers 
  • CD-ROM's/CD-R's/DVD's
  • Checks 
  • Computer Backups
  • Video Tapes 
  • Bank Statements
  • Check Stubs 
  • Cassette Tapes
  • Financial Records 
  • Prescription Bottle Labels
  • Credit Card Applications/Old Credit Cards
  • Any label with your information
    (includes magazine labels)

      LIMIT 5 Boxes/Bags per vehicle. Donations will be accepted for  the Boise Area Crime Stoppers
