Fleeing DUI driver arrested on Felony charge; Daily incident report

    Arrested: Ian A. Schach, 25, Boise

    Charges: Fleeing and Evading (F), Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(m)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle pass them Westbound on Federal Way at a very high rate of speed early this morning, August 17th, at approximately 1:00 a.m. The officer turned around and began attempting to catch up to the suspect vehicle. The suspect turned Northbound on Broadway Avenue then Eastbound onto Linden Street at a high rate of speed. The suspect continued to speed as he went Northbound on Leadville Avenue. The officer witnessed the suspect drive through four different stop signs and estimated the suspect's speed to be as high as 75 miles per hour. The officer activated his emergency lights at Leadville and Pennsylvania, in an attempt to stop the suspect's dangerous behavior. The suspect then sped up and going Northbound on Leadville at an estimated 75 miles per hour.  The officer , concerned for public safety, turned off his lights and began calling other Officers into the area.  Approximately two minutes later officers located the suspect vehicle at Pennsylvania and Parkcenter Boulevard. Officers stopped the suspect vehicle without further incident. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .14/.14 at the Ada County Jail. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Robert B. Holliday, 54, Boise, 

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Malicious Injury to Property (m), Possession of Drug paraphernalia (m)

    Boise Police responded to a disturbance in a restaurant parking lot on the 1100 block of South Broadway Avenue yesterday afternoon, August 16th, at approximately 5:00 p.m. The victim tells police the suspect, who is well known to her, had been involved in an ongoing dispute with her when he showed up at the parking lot. The victim tells police the suspect retrieved a sledge hammer from his vehicle and proceeded to smash out the headlights of her car. Officers located the suspect as he attempted to leave the parking lot in his vehicle. A search of the suspect's person revealed a plastic baggie with Meth residue and a digital scale. A search of the suspects vehicle revealed more baggies and a glass meth pipe with residue. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Teresa L. Coleman, 45, Garden City 

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

   Boise Police received a citizen report of a drunk driver on the 1100 block of South Vista Avenue early this morning, August 17th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. Officers located the suspect behind the wheel in a parking lot. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
