Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Assault arrests; Weekend incident report

  Arrested: Jamie Huerta, 25, Kuna

   Charges: Aggravated Battery (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a fight at the corner of West Main Street and South 5th Street early Sunday morning, August 19th, at approximately 2:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they observed a fight taking place between multiple suspects. As officers began to take control, they observed one victim fall to the ground. The suspect, later identified as Jamie Huerta, then used his foot to stomp on the victim's head as he lay on the ground. The victim was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries at the time. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Ada County Jail where he was booked on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 9 ASSAULT AND BATTERY 18-907. Aggravated battery defined. (1) A person commits aggravated battery who, in committing battery: (a)  Causes great bodily harm, permanent disability or permanent disfigurement;

   Arrested: Rahim D. Reed, 20, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (F), Carrying a Concealed Weapon (m), Probation Violation Charges

   Arrested: Adrian H. Gali, 23, Kuna

   Charges: Failure to Appear (m), Contempt of Court (m), Probation Violation (m)

   Arrested: Reina E. Guardado, 21, Kuna

   Charges: Failure To Appear (M)

    Boise Police responded to a disturbance at a residence on the 4200 block of South Stargazer Place Friday evening, August 17th, at approximately 10:00 p.m. The calling party indicated the suspect, who was known to her, had come to the home with a weapon following an ongoing dispute. Officers detained the suspects, who were in a vehicle in front of the home as they arrived. The victim tells police the suspect had come to the home with a bag known to contain a weapon and made several threats against the suspect. Officers recovered a sawed off 12 gauge shotgun in the vehicle where the suspect had been located, along with ammunition. Officers also recovered a Oxycodone pill from the suspect's person that he did not have documentation for. A check through Ada County Dispatch confirmed that two other occupants of the vehicle, Adian Gali and Reina Guardado, had current warrants for their arrest. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 9 ASSAULT AND BATTERY 18-905. Aggravated assault defined. An aggravated assault is an assault: (a)  With a deadly weapon or instrument without intent to kill; or (b)  By any means or force likely to produce great bodily harm.[; or] (c)  With any vitriol, corrosive acid, or a caustic chemical of any kind.(d)  "Deadly weapon or instrument" as used in this chapter is defined to include any firearm, though unloaded or so defective that it can not be fired.

    Arrested: Jeremiah R. Kraft, 28, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving Without Privileges (DWP)(m)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle operating without mud flaps that failed to move over as it passed an ISP Trooper on a traffic stop at the westbound I-84 Connector near Orchard Street Saturday, August 18th, at approximately 2:30 a.m.  The suspect who was driving, appeared to be very intoxicated at the time. The suspect failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .11/.11 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. Dispatch indicated the suspect was also currently suspended from driving. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Austin J. Crone, 28, Glenns Ferry

   Charges: Malicious Injury to Property (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a vandalism in progress at a car dealership on the 2300 block of West Main Street early Sunday morning, August 19th, at approximately 2:30 a.m. A citizen tells police she witnessed the suspect kicking a parked car in the lot. The witness was able to point out the suspect, who was located just across the street. Officers contacted the owner of the business and determined the damage to the corvette and its fiberglass body would exceed $2,000.00. The suspect, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time, was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Timothy A. Roberts, 19, Meridian

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Oxycodone)(F)

   Boise Police on patrol observed a vehicle driving at night with no headlights on near West Fairview and North 24th Street early Sunday morning, August 19th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. As officers contacted the driver they requested, and received permission to search the suspect's person. Officers located seven prescription Oxycodone pills the suspect did not have documentation for. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
