Traffic stop leads to Felony drug charge; Daily incident report

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold (m)

   Boise Police on patrol observed a vehicle flashing its high beams at them as they passed them going the opposite direction near Cole road and Fairview avenue late last night, July 2nd, at approximately 10:30 p.m. As officers contacted the occupants, a Boise Police K-9 named "Rexx" alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search of the suspect's purse, located inside the vehicle, revealed a plastic baggie and syringe containing Meth residue. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

   On Sunday night, July 1st at approximately 10:00 p.m. Boise Police responded to a report of a one vehicle crash on the 3500 block of West Greenbrier Street in Boise. Officers who responded to the scene determined the suspect had been riding a motorcycle with one passenger when the bike struck a parked pickup truck causing extensive damage. The passenger on the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries at the time. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .10/.10 at the Ada County Jail. After a detailed investigation, the suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
