Fraud, Burglary and Grand Theft arrests; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Julie M. Holt, 34, Kuna

   Charges: Obtaining  Prescription Drug by Fraud (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a fraud in progress at a pharmacy on the 10,000 block of West Fairview Avenue yesterday, July 16th, at approximately 10:30 a.m. As part of an ongoing investigation officers determined the suspect did not have a valid prescription for the Norco pills she was attempting to obtain. After a detailed investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Rebecca K. Farrar, 21, Boise

    Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8300 block of West Overland Road yesterday, July 16th, at approximately 6:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal several items in the handle area of a baby stroller that did not contain a child, then leave the store without paying for the items. The suspect was detained until officers arrived and the items were recovered. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

    Arrested: Chad W. Nye, 40, Boise

    Charges: Burglary (F), Parole Violation Charges (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 3500 block of South Federal Way yesterday, July 16th, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal several items in a large wind breaker type jacket, unusual for the hot weather. The suspect then left the store without paying for the items. The suspect was detained until officers arrived and the items were recovered. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: David R. Otto, 24, Eagle

   Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a credit card used without authorization. Evidence indicates the suspect used the credit card to make more than $1,000 dollars in purchases during April of this year at various stores. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

   Warrant Arrested: Jeremy M. Liedtke, 31, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Burglary (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of $400.00 worth of Legos at a store on June 26th of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in filling a shopping cart with the toys, then leaving the store without paying for the merchandise. When store employees confronted him in the parking lot the suspect ran away. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

   Warrant Arrested: Joseph D. Kappel, 23, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Burglary (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary yesterday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of several video game systems from a store near Overland and Five Mile in January of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in the theft of the electronics from the store. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
