Threats with a knife lead to Felony arrest; Weekend incident report

    Arrested: Daxx E. Diaz, 35, Boise

    Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a fight with a knife at 4th and Main early Sunday morning, June 17th, just after midnight. Witnesses tell police the suspect, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time, was involved in an ongoing dispute with the victim. At one point, witnesses say the suspect produced a knife and made verbal threats to the victim, who feared for his safety. Officers located the suspect and he was taken into custody. A search of the suspect's person revealed approximately 1 gram total package weight of marijuana. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Shane J. Bishop, 21, Fairfield Ca. 

    Charges: Trafficking a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(F)

   Boise Police on patrol near 42nd and Adams observed a vehicle with an obstructed windshield Saturday evening, June 16th, at approximately 10:00 p.m. and conducted a traffic stop. As officers appraoched the vehicle they observed the strong, an distinct odor of marijuana from the vehicle. Under the drivers seat they located a large bag containing approximately 240 grams of marijuana and 19 plastic baggies. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Alan L. Thoma, 48, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

   Boise Police responded to an injury crash near Overland and Wilcomb Friday evening, June 15th, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect was riding a motorcycle with a passenger West on Overland when he collided with a vehicle. The passenger received injuries that did not apear to be life threatening and was transported to a local hospital. The suspect, who was the motorcycle driver, appeared to be very intoxicated at the time of the investigation. He failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .14/.14 at the Ada County Jail. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Sean A. Zollinger, 40, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving without Privileges (DWP)(m)

   Boise Police observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn and speeding at Ustick and Cole Road Sunday morning, June 17th, just after midnight and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .14/.14 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was also currently suspended from driving at the time of the stop. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Gina C. Ransom, 30, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving without Privileges (DWP)(m) 

   Boise Police observed a vehicle fail to yeild to pedestrians in a crosswalk at 3rd and Idaho Street Saturday, June 16th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was also currently suspended from driving. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Keith B. Nyquist, 34, Boise

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (F)(Prescription Medications), Dissorderly Conduct (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a suspect in the victim's back yard near Harrison and Ridenbaugh late Sunday night, June 17th, at approximately 11:00 p.m. The victim tells police she heard a noise in the back yard and the suspect was observed as he jumped the fence and fled. Officers located the suspect on foot nearby. A search of the suspect revealed eight Oxycontin prescription pills the suspect did not have documentation for. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Colby J. Absmeier, 18, Boise

    Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(F), Resisting and Obstructing (m)

   Boise Police responded to a citizen report of possible drug use at a residence on the 4100 block of South Federal Way early this morning, Monday, June 18th, just after midnight. As officers responded to the address they observed the suspect exiting the residence. Officers instructed the suspect to stop. The suspect stopped briefly, before attempting to run from police. Officers took the supsect into custody and located two baggies containing several Oxycodone pills the suspect did not have a prescription for. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
