Boise Police received multiple reports of an intoxicated suspect who had made verbal threats against a neighbor Sunday night, June 24th, at approximately 10:45 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect, who had been drinking, had driven off after behaving erratically and making verbal threats. Officers located the suspect driving in a vehicle near Butte and Liberty Streets and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, began struggling with officers as they attempted to take him into custody. At one point, the suspect attempted to strike the officers and tried to bite them. Officers recovered an open container of beer from the suspect's vehicle resulting in the open container charge. A blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
