Boise Police observed a vehicle fail to stop and
conduct an illegal turn near Orchard and Peg Street late Sunday
night, May 6th, at approximately 11:40 p.m. The suspect, who
appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field
sobriety tests and blew a .29/.25 at the Ada County Jail. A
check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior
convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect
was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Carrying a Concealed Weapon While
Intoxicated (m)
Boise Police observed a vehicle conduct an illegal
stop on Main Street at Broadway Avenue late Saturday night, May
5th, just before midnight. The suspect, who appeared to be very
intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and
blew a .21/.20 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada
County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for
DUI making this charge a felony. A search of the suspect's
person revealed a set of brass knuckes concealed in the suspect's
clothing. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the
above listed charges.

Arrested: Freda S. Southworth, 32,

Charges: Possession of a
Controlled Substance (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m),
Petit Theft (m)
Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a
retail store on the 8300 block of West Overland Friday, May 4th at
approximately 9:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they
witnessed the suspect select items of merchandise from the store,
then return them to the counter for a gift card, having never paid
for the items. When officers detained the suspect they received
consent to search her vehicle in the parking lot. Officers
recovered a glass pipe containing Meth residue. The suspect was
transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed
charges.
The Boise Police Department has developed a
positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention
agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and
national chains. The goal is to work with retailers to reduce theft
and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

Charges: Burglary (F)
Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a
retail store on the 300 block of North Milwaukee Street Friday, May
4th, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Store employees tell police that
they witnessed the suspects conceal items of clothing and then
leave the store without paying for them. Store employees detained
the suspects. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with
the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charge.
Officers also recovered items in possession of Natali Parga-Vasquez
that had been taken from two additional stores, resulting in the
Grand Theft charge. The suspects were transported to the Ada County
Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
