Suspect Arrested in Thursday's Bank Robbery

UPDATE: May 11, 2012 - Boise Police have arrested a man and charged him with Robbery in connection with yesterday's bank robbery.

Arrested: Jerry C. Tudehope, 64, Boise

Charged: Robbery (F)

Tudehope was arrested by Boise Police detectives about 1:45 this afternoon at the home of a relative. The arrest came after a combination of citizen tips and leads followed by officers identifying the suspect. Officers were able able to recover evidence connecting Tudehope to the crime. 

"Once again, we have to thank the citizens of our city that are willing to come forward and help officers protect and insure their safety," said Sgt. Mark Barnett of the Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit. "When citizens give us information then let the officers do what they do best, investigate leads and find evidence for an arrest, we have to give those citizens credit where credit is due."



Officers Search for Suspect in Bank Robbery near W. Emerald & N. Maple Grove

Boise, May 10, 2012 - Boise Police are searching for the suspect in a bank robbery reported at 10:49 this morning on the 9100 block of W. Emerald St, just west of N. Maple Grove Rd.

PRELIMINARY Suspect Descrption: Hispanic male, spoke Spanish, 5'11", 180 lbs, salt & pepper hair and mustache, wearing large glasses, a light weight light-grey-colored sweatshirt, dark grey or black ball cap, jeans, white tennis shoes, walked with a slightly hunched appearance, had bandaids on his fingers as if covering cuts. Carried a tan, plastic Albertson's grocery bag.

Suspect walked into bank and demanded cash in a threatening manner. Was last seen leaving the bank on foot toward Maple Grove Rd.
