Robbery DUI and other arrests; Weekend incident report

   Arrested: Tyrick T. Bell, 18, Kuna

   Charges: Robbery (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m), Providing False Information (m), Minor Consumption (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store near Boise and Protest early Sunday morning, May 27th, just after midnight. The employee of the store tells police the suspect entered the store and demanded money. The victim tells police the suspect displayed a handgun before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured in the robbery. Officers began an area search for the suspect who was spotted in a field near Kootenai and Columbus Streets. Officers identified themselves and ordered the suspect to stop. The suspect attempted to flee across the field, and over a fence and into a residential back yard. Officers apprehended the suspect. Officers noted the suspect had been drinking alcohol and provided false identifying information to police. Officers recovered the stolen money. After a detailed investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Jerry O. Mullenix Jr. 37, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Robbery (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of an aggravated assault at a residence on the 200 block of South Jackson Street Sunday morning, May 27th, at approximately 9:30 a.m. The victim tells police the suspect, who is a part time roommate, wrestled him to the ground during an argument over an ongoing dispute. At one point, the victim tells police the suspect held a box cutter to his throat and took a cell phone from him.  A search of the immediate area did not locate the suspect. That afternoon, at approximately 4:30 p.m. officers located the suspect on foot near the greenbelt on Warm Springs Avenue and questioned him. After a detailed investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Daniel R. Honn, 23, Boise

    Charges: Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident (F), Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(m)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a pedestrian versus vehicle collision in a parking lot on the 800 block of South Cole Road Monday evening, May 28th, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Witnesses tell police the victim was standing near a vehicle when the suspect, driving a car, attempted to squeeze by. Witnesses tell police the suspect vehicle "Pinned" the victim between the suspect vehicle and another car for several seconds, before backing up and exiting his vehicle. The suspect then exited his car and began walking away. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officers located the suspect on foot approximately 300 feet from Cole road. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .28/.27 at the Ada County Jail. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Dale F. Gillette, 35, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Leaving the Scene of an accident (m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Open Container (m), Parole Violation charges (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Apple Street South of Federal Way Sunday evening, May 27th, at approximately 11:00 p.m. The calling party states that he witnessed the suspect vehicle collide with beams near the roadway and then drive into some bushes on the East side of the road. Officers located the suspect vehicle  still at the location and observed the driver attempting to dislodge the vehicle by driving forward and backwards. Officers approached the suspect and ordered him to exit the vehicle. Eventually the suspect had to be physically removed from the vehicle. The suspect appeared to be very intoxicated at the time of arrest. A blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. Officers located a pipe used for smoking illegal substances on the suspects person. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Warrant Arrested: Saul Cortez, 19, Boise

   Warrant Charges:  Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (F)

     The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver Friday.

    The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the possession and intended sale of marijuana on April 11th of this year. On that date, officers conducted a consent search of the suspects residence after receiving a citizen call indicating drug activity had been taking place at a home on the 500 block of South Curtis. Officers recovered approximately 8 ounces of marijuana, paraphernalia, scales, packaging materials and other evidence that indicated the suspect had been involved in the sale of the controlled substance. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
