Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Burglary arrests; Daily incident report

   Arrested: James E. Hood, 39, Boise

   Charges: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (F)

    Boise Police responded to a disturbance at a hotel room on the 4000 block of West Fairview Avenue yesterday, April 3rd, at approximately noon. As officers made contact with the occupants of the room they discovered the suspect had a loaded handgun tucked into the waistband of his clothing. A check through Ada County Dispatch confirmed the suspect was prohibited form possession a firearm due to a prior felony conviction. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Luis A. Gigueroa-Ramirez, 28, Garden City

   Charges: Burglary (F)

   Arrested: German Alcantara-Julio, 20, Garden City

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8100 block of West Fairview yesterday, April 3rd, at approximately 2:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspects conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charges. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

   Arrested: Randall W. Johnson 2nd, 21, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 300 block of North Five Mile Road yesterday, April 3rd, at approximately 5:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal a power tool and then leave the store without paying for it. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
