Controlled substance with Intent to Deliver (Marijuana)(F),
Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (F), Arrest
Warrants out of Virginia
Boise Police received information that a wanted
suspect could be located at a hotel on the 1000 block of North
Curtis yesterday evening, April 19th, at approximately 6:30 p.m.
After confirming through Ada County Dispatch that the suspect had 3
warrants for his arrest out of Virginia on various charges, they
located the suspect in a hotel room. Officers recovered
approximately 26 grams total package weight of marijuana and cash
in plain sight. During the course of the investigation officers
obtained additional evidence that indicates the suspect had been
involved in the sale of the controlled substance. Officers also
recovered a loaded handgun concealed in a toilet that belonged to
the suspect. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the
above listed charges.

Arrested: Denise L. Owen, 47,
Boise
Charges: Possession of a
Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of Drug paraphernalia
(m) Probation Violation charges
Boise Police assisted Idaho Probation
and Parole agents on the search of a residence on the 500 block of
North Liberty Street yesterday, April 19th, at approximately 11:30
p.m. Officers recovered less than one gram of meth and a pipe. The
suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed
charges.

Warrant Arrested: Hailey L. West, 18,
Boise
Warrant Charges: Grand Theft
(F), Burglary (F)
The suspect was taken into custody on
two outstanding felony warrants for Grand Theft and Burglary
yesterday.
The arrest warrants stem from two incidents
that took place over the last several months. In both incidents the
victims, who are known to the suspect, reported jewelry had been
stolen from thier homes in Boise. The combined value of the stolen
jewelry exceeded an estimated $6,000.00. Evidence indicates the
suspect had been involved in the theft of the items. That
investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County
Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony
warrants.

Arrested: Kirk S. Ross, 50,
Boise
Charges: Burglary (F)
Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a
retail store on the 1500 block of West State Street yesterday,
April 19th, at approximately 7:00 p.m. Store employees tell police
they witnessed the suspect conceal a bottle of wine and then leave
the store without paying for the item. Officers believe the suspect
entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in
the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County
Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit
has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss
prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small,
local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail
Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud,
crimes that can impact consumer prices.
