Enhanced DUI, Robbery Arrest; BPD Weekend Incident Report

Arrested: Todd J. McMillan, 29, Trenton, FL

Charged: DUI - Enhanced (m) ISC 18-8004C-1a

Boise Police were called by the crew of a Boise Fire Engine early yesterday morning at 3:09 a.m. when the firefighters noticed the driver of a Ford pickup was going the wrong way down N. 6th near W. Idaho Street. Firefighters were able to provide officers with a very good description of the suspect vehicle. About 15 minutes later, officers found the vehicle stopped with the engine running in a parking lot at Broadway Ave and W. Howe Street. Officers walked up to the truck and found the driver passed out. The driver had an open bottle of beer between his legs. Officers woke him and noticed he had red, bloodshot eyes, and very slurred speech. The driver failed field sobriety tests and provided two breath samples of .204/.204.

Arrested: James R. Tucker, 40, transient

Charged: Robbery (F),  Injury by Graffiti (m)(cited)

A Boise Police officer on patrol walking down Main street Friday at 1:45 p.m. was approached by a man reporting he'd just been the victim of an attempted robbery. The victim told the officer he'd been approached by a man who commented on his "nice dress shoes" and asked for spare change. The victim replied he had no spare change and wouldn't take off his shoes. When he refused, the victim says they suspect pulled a knife and repeated for the victim to take his shoes off. According to the victim, a third man who appeared to be an acquaintance of the suspect tried to calm the situation and the victim was able to safely walk past and soon saw the officer. The victim was able to point the officer to the suspect who was walking at 11th & Main Streets.  

With information the suspect was armed, the officer called for assistance. Two additional officers arrived almost immediatley and the suspect was taken into custody. During the investigation, officers found the suspect appeared intoxicated. They also found evidence the suspect had recently used a thick black Sharpie ink pen to "tag" traffic boxes in the downtown area. A knife and several Sharpies were found in the possession of the suspect. He was arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Paul M. Evans, 41, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance - Meth (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Boise Police were investigating a suspicious subject in a vehicle in the area of W. State St and N. 24th St. Sunday afternoon, April 8th. Officers made contact with the man in the car and soon discovered he was in possession of a small baggie with white crystal substance inside. The substance field tested presumptive positive for three grams of methamphetamine. The suspect was also found to be in possession of two glass pipes with burnt residue on the inside. The suspect was arrested on the above charges.

Arrested: Tonia L. Pearman, 43, Boise

Charged: Grand Theft (F), petit theft (m)

Boise officers were called by employees of a retail store on the 8200 block of W. Fairview Ave. early Friday evening, April 6th. Store employees pointed out a woman who was trying to buy items with several gift cards that came back stolen. Officers found the gift cards had indeed been reported stolen to Boise Police in late February from a business on W. Overland near S. Curtis Road. The suspect was arrested on the above charges.
