UPDATE - Fatal Shooting

UPDATE: Boise, March 20, 3:34 p.m. - The Ada County Coroner has identified the victim in the overnight shooting as Gary Dean Arlen Jr. According to the coroner, the victim died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head.

   Boise, March 20, 2012, 6:25 a.m. - Boise Police detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.

   Officers were called to a home near N. Curtis Rd and Cruzen Street last night at 11:44 p.m.  When officers arrived, they found a 23 year old man dead of an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was a resident of the home. Also on scene was a man officers  arrested and charged with Voluntary Manslaughter in connection with the shooting.
 
   Arrested: Gregory M. Shain, 22, Meridian
   Charged: Involuntary Manslaughter (F)
 
   The investigation remains ongoing.
