Arrested: Mario Capora, 60, Boise

Charged: Rape (F)

    Boise Police were called early Friday morning, March 2nd, about 6:00 a.m. by an adult woman reporting that a male known to her had battered and raped her. The incident reportedly occurred at an east Boise home overnight Thursday into Friday. The victim was able to provide officers with a description of the suspect's vehicle and a possible direction of travel. Officers found him a short time later on Executive Drive just west of N. Five Mile Rd. The suspect, Capora, was then questioned by detectives. After further investigation, the suspect was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charge.

Arrested: David L. Barber, 32, Boise

Charged: Possession of a Controlled Substance-Meth (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m), Driving without privileges (m) 

    Boise Police were dispatched to a motel on the 1600 block of W. Main St early this morning for a report of a disturbance from a motel manager. Officers arrived and saw a man driving up to the motel who was also identified by witnesses as being involved in the disturbance. Officers contacted the driver, later identified as Barber, and immediately noticed he had red glassy eyes. Officers could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Barber. Officers also found a syringe in Barber's pocket. Officers placed Barber into custody and in a search incident to arrest found him in possession of a small amount (less than one gram) of a crystal-like substance believed to be meth. Field testing on the substance found it tested presumptive positive for amphetamines. Officers then discovered Barber's California drivers license was suspended. He was arrested and booked on the above charges.

Arrested: Ruhuddin Sharafi, 18, Boise

Charged: Burglary (F), Warrant - Failure to Appear (m)

   On Friday afternoon, March 2nd at 5:41 Boise Police were called to a retail store on the 5200 block of W. Franklin Rd by store employees who witnessed the suspect enter the store then leave with shoes and jewelry without paying. Following officer follow up, the suspect, Sharafi was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.
