Citizen call leads to Felony DUI arrest; Daily incident report

    Arrested: Joseph B. Kiler, 27, Boise

    Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police responded to a citizen report of a possible drunk driver near Hill road and 36th Street yesterday, March 20th, at approximately 6:30 p.m. The calling party tells police he witnessed the suspect driving down a residential street at a high speed before making a wide turn and backing into a Porta Potty at a nearby construction site. The witness provided detailed information about the suspect vehicle to dispatchers. Moments after the call was received, a Boise Police officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .19/.17 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had 2 prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Jace D. Reynolds, 18, Middleton

  Charges: Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee yesterday, March 20th, at approximately 7:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspects conceal clothing items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers contacted the suspects in the parking lot and recovered the stolen merchandise. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the thefts resulting in the burglary charges. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

  Arrested: Nicole D. Loeffler, 32, Boise

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(m)

    Boise Police assisted Idaho Probation and Parole agents on the search of a residence on the 3000 block of North Linda Vista Lane yesterday, March 20th, at approximately 9:00 p.m. Officers located twenty four Soma pills and one Methadone pill the suspect did not have documentation for. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
