Arrested: David Ray Cates II, 24, Boise

Charged: DUI (F)

Two Boise Police officers on patrol early Sunday morning, Feb 19th, at 2:27 a.m. witnessed the driver of a pick up truck driving 40 mph in a 30 mph zone and make a wide right turn onto N. 27th Street from Regan Ave.  When officers stopped the truck and spoke with the driver, identified as Cates, they could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage.  Officers also could see the driver was slurring his speech and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. The driver failed field sobriety tests and in a field breathalyzer blew a .200/.188. A search of the suspects criminal record found he had two previous DUI convictions, one in October, 2007 and a second in February, 2010. The suspect was charged with felony DUI and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Caleb B. Davis, 18, Boise

Charged: Grand Theft (F)

               Boise Police were called by the owners of a local small business on Saturday, Feb. 18th. The suspect, Davis was an employee of the business. The business owners told officers they had evidence the suspect had stolen several items including an iPod and a blank check from one of the business's clients. They had also noticed personal items had been stolen from their home where the suspect had been staying. Officers investigated and found evidence the suspect was the thief. Officers arrested him on Grand Theft charges later the same day.

Arrested: Bradley D. Kellar, 22, Boise

Charged:  Possession of a Controlled Substance (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m)

               A  Boise Police officer on patrol Sunday, Feb. 19th shortly after 9:00 a.m. saw the driver of a car stop past the white stop line and into the intersection.  The officer stopped the vehicle near Fairmeadow Dr. and Wilmington Dr. in West Boise. When she contacted the two men inside the car, the officer could see a large wad of money and a cell phone under the passenger's leg. The passenger was identified as Kellar. A Garden City Police K9 assisted with a search of the car. The drug detection K9 alerted on the passenger's side door and dashboard. Officers searched further and found the suspect in possession of two open syringes. As the suspect was transported to the jail for possession of drug paraphernalia, officers learned he was also in possession of methamphetamine. The meth was found in a search at the jail, weighing approximately 1 gram.

Arrested: Andrew N. Stowell, 18, Boise

Charged: Burglary (F)

               Boise Police were called to a home near W. Hill Rd & Collister Dr. Friday morning, Feb. 17th by a resident reporting a burglary had just occurred at their home. The resident said they heard glass breaking and found someone had broken out a bathroom window, but had not entered the home. The resident then saw the suspect in a neighbor's yard.  When officers arrived, they located the suspect, who had visible cuts and whose shoes matched footprints found at the scene. After further investigation, officers found evidence the suspect, Stowell had forced entry into the residence with the intent to commit a theft.  He was arrested on the burglary charged and booked into the Ada County Jail.
