    Arrested: Daniel C. Teal, 50, Boise

    Charges:Eluding police (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m), Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(m), Failure to Purchase a Drivers License (m), Parole Violation charges

  Boise Police observed a vehicle driven by a wanted suspect at Benjamin and Franklin Roads Friday evening, January 6th, at approximately 9:00 p.m. Officers had information that indicated the suspect was wanted on a Parole Violation charge. As officers attempted to stop the driver he refused to yield to emergency lights. Eventually, officers used a maneuver to immobilize the suspect's vehicle in a parking lot on the 8400 block of West Franklin. The suspect immediately exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Officers had to physically restrain the suspect as he was taken into custody a short distance from his vehicle. A Boise Police Drug Recognition Expert conducted field tests that indicated the suspect was under the influence of an unknown stimulant. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had failed to purchase a drivers license. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Benjamin A. Phillips, 32, Meridian

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police observed a vehicle fail to signal more than one turn near Good and 35th Street Sunday, January 8th, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Officers stopped the driver at 35th and State. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and refused to provide a breath sample. A blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Charges:Burglary (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

 Arrested: John A. Walters, 29, Ontario OR.

  Charges:Burglary (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m)

 Arrested: Brandi M. Wells, 34, Ontario OR.

  Charges:Burglary (F)

  Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8200 block of West Overland Friday, January 6th, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspects conceal several items and then leave the store without paying for them. Loss prevention employees detained Brandi Wells and Tiffany Rothchild in the store. Officers located John Walters in a vehicle in the parking lot. Walters ran from officers and was taken into custody after a very short foot pursuit. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charges. Officers located a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a bag belonging to Tiffany Rothchild. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

   Arrested: Haris Keserovic, 26, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police received a report of a stolen backpack from a shopping cart at a retail store on the 100 block of East Myrtle on November 29th of last year. On that date, the victim tells police she turned her back and her bag, containing financial transaction cards and other items was taken. Working with store employees and witnesses, officers determined the suspect was Haris Keserovic. After a detailed investigation officers arrested Keserovic Friday, January 6th at the Boise Police headquarters building. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
