01-25-12 Attack with a frying pan leads to Felony arrest; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Melanie N. Gilbert, 23, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Battery (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a battery at an assisted living facility on the 10000 block of West Rifleman Lane yesterday, January 24th, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect, who lives at the facility, became angry with the victim, who is an employee. Witnesses say the suspect struck the victim in the head twice with a frying pan. The victim received what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries at the time and sought medical attention. After a detailed investigation, the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 9 ASSAULT AND BATTERY18-907. Aggravated battery defined.(1) A person commits aggravated battery who, in committing battery: (a)  Causes great bodily harm, permanent disability or permanent disfigurement;

  Arrested: Terry Paul, 58, Boise

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m) Agents Warrant/Parole Violation (F)

    Boise Police assisted Idaho Probation and Parole agents on the search of a suspect's residence on the 1300 block of South Federal Way last night, January 24th, at approximately 8:30 p.m. With the help of Boise Police K-9 "Kamo" and his handler, officers located approximately 1.4 grams of cocaine and other items of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Eric M. Stredwick, 35, Transient

   Charges: Robbery (F)

    Boise Police arrested the suspect yesterday, January 24th, after a detailed investigation into the theft of a credit card that took place on January 18th of this year. The victim, who is well known to the suspect, tells police he took her purse by force, during an altercation at a Boise hotel. After officers located the suspect yesterday and conducted a thorough investigation, he was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

 Arrested: Janice Oliver, 22, Transient

 Charges:Violation of a No Contact Order (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody following a detailed investigation yesterday, January 24th at approximately 4:30 p.m. Evidence indicates the suspect violated the provisions of a court issued no contact order on the 2700 block of West Ponderosa Road with full knowledge that doing so was a crime. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Ada County jail on the above listed charges.
