Two attempts at burglary in one night land suspect in jail on multiple Felony charges; Weekend incident report

  Arrested: Cody J. Braden, 31, Boise

  Charges: 3 Counts of Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a burglary alarm at a business on the 200 block of West Boise Ave. early Friday morning, November 25th, at approximately 1:40 a.m. Officers found the front glass door of the business had been shattered. A search of the immediate area did not locate a suspect.

   Hours later, at approximately 3:00 a.m. officers drove past the store again and witnessed the suspect going back into the store through the damaged doorway. The suspect then quickly exited the store and ran. Officers located the suspect near Williams Park and he was taken into custody. Officers recovered stolen merchandise from the store at the time of the suspect's arrest. After a detailed investigation, officers obtained evidence that the suspect had been involved in another burglary on November 16th at a convenience store resulting in the third burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Kenneth R. Thacker, 33, Middleton

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Meth)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Marijuana)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Psilocybin Mushrooms)(F),  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

  Boise Police on patrol Sunday morning, November 27th, at approximately 10:00 a.m. observed a vehicle with no license plates cross the center line and conducted a traffic stop near Rose Hill and South Jackson St. Officers determined the driver was on Parole out of Canyon County. The suspect informed officers he had a concealed weapon on his person and produced a knife from his waistband. A search of the suspect and his vehicle revealed approximately 88 grams total package weight of Meth, 17 grams total package weight psilocybin Mushrooms, 14 grams total package weight of marijuana, syringes and other items of paraphernalia. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Derek L. Overton, 31, Meridian

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Prescription Pain Killers)(F),  Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

  Boise Police on patrol early Monday morning, November 28th, at approximately 12:40 a.m. observed a vehicle conduct multiple illegal lane changes and conducted a traffic stop near Emerald and Roosevelt Streets. Officers determined the suspect was on probation and conducted a search of the vehicle. Officers recovered 13 hydrocodone prescription  pills, a small amount of marijuana and a pipe. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Gina M. Sturiale, 27, Boise

   Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police received a citizens report of a drunk driver who had struck another vehicle Saturday evening, November 26th, at approximately 8:20 p.m. Officers located the vehicle and witnessed the driver perform a stop line violation at 10th and Washington St.  The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County Records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
