11-08-11 Sex Offender Arrested for Failing to Register - BPD daily incident report

Arrested: Jason R. Wilson, 37, Boise
Charged: Failure to register as a sex offender ISC 18-8306

    Boise Police were called to a retail area on the 5700 block of W. Overland Rd. last night shortly after 8:30. Witnesses told officers a man who appeared drunk was causing problems with other customers at an adult video store. Officers found the man at a nearby gas station. He was identified as Wilson. While investigating, officers discovered Wilson had taken a bus from Portland, Oregon to Boise 34 days ago. Wilson is a Registered Sex Offender in Oregon and had not yet registered in Idaho. Per Idaho Code 18-8309(2), if an offender changes address to another state, the offender has five (5) working days to register with the Sheriff's Office. Officers arrested Wilson and booked him into the Ada County Jail on the above charge.

Arrested Arminda Peugh, 20, Boise
Charged: Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police arrested Peugh yesterday morning on an Ada County warrant. Peugh is accused of being involved in a check kiting scheme involving several local banks. Boise Police financial crimes detectives began investigating Peugh after a local business reported a fraudulent check in mid-August.
