Nampa man arrested for Aggravated Battery and Kidnaping; Weekend incident report

    Arrested: James L. Kopp, 57, Nampa

    Charges:2nd Degree Kidnaping (Not for Ransom)(F), Aggravated Battery (F), Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(m)

  Boise Police responded to a citizen call of a disturbance at 13th and Main Street early Saturday morning, October 22nd, at approximately 2:00 a.m. Officers located the adult female victim and determined the suspect had fled in his vehicle. The victim, and several witnesses, tell police the woman had just crossed the street when the suspect, who is not known to her, exited his car and punched her in the head knocking her to the ground. Witnesses say they called 911 as they saw the suspect, later identified as Kopp, continue to strike the woman and attempt to drag her toward his vehicle. Witnesses say they attempted to distract the suspect by honking horns and yelling at the man who then left the victim and fled in his vehicle. Using detailed information provided by the witnesses Officers located the suspect vehicle on I-84 speeding. Officers stopped the driver, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time. A blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. After a detailed investigation by Boise Police detectives, the suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges. The victim received what appeared to be non life threatening injuries at the time and paramedics responded to the scene.

 TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 45 KIDNAPING18-4503. Second degree kidnaping when not for ransom. Every other kidnaping committed shall be kidnaping in the second degree.

   Arrested: Brandy C. Grenicko, 37, Boise

   Charges:Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m) Agents Warrant/Parole Violation (F)

    Boise Police working with Idaho Probation and Parole agents searched the suspects residence on the 7100 block of West Brookover Drive Friday, October 21st, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Officers located several baggies containing small amounts of meth, packaging materials, digital scales and other items of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
