Intoxicated suspect arrested for Battery and Aggravated Assault; Weekend incident report

10-03-11 Intoxicated suspect arrested for Battery and Aggravated Assault; Weekend incident report

   Arrested: Kenneth J. Sustaita, 30, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Battery (m), Resisting and Obstructing (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a battery in progress at a residence near Boise Avenue and Broadway Saturday, October 1st, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Multiple witnesses tell police the suspect, who is known to the victims, shown up at the residence in a drunken state and demanded to be let inside. Victims tell police they repeatedly told him to leave before he grabbed one adult male victim and threw him into a fence. A second victim, an adult female, began ordering the suspect to leave at which point she tells officers he chased her and made verbal threats against her life. At this point several witnesses arrived to investigate the screaming. Officers received information that the suspect had left the residence and an area search began. Officers located the suspect near Leadville and Pensylvania streets. As officers made contact with the suspect, who appeared very intoxicated at the time, he refused to comply with commands. The suspect repeatedly cursed at officers and at one point, the man tore off his T-shirt and balled up his fists before aggressing an officer. After deploying a Taser the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Warrant Arrested: Richard D. Henderson, 47, Boise

  Warrant Charges:Aggravated Battery (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Aggravated Battery Friday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into an incident that took place on September 29th at a Boise residence. On that date, evidence indicates the suspect was involved in a personal dispute with the adult female victim at her home. At one point, witnesses tell police the suspect grabbed the victim by the throat and shoved her into a door jam  leaving marks and causing the victim to partially lose consciousness. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

   Arrested: Collin P. Leino, 26, Boise

   Charges: Battery on an Officer (F), Trespassing (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a bar on the 600 block of South Vista Saturday, October 1st, at approximately 9:00 p.m. Employees and Multiple witnesses tell police the suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, refused to listen to the advice of friends and instructions from employees to leave the bar. As officers made contact with the suspect he refused to leave. The suspect, who was belligerent, had to be physically escorted out of the establishment by officers. The suspect, who continued to be uncooperative at first refused to provide identification to officers. Eventually the suspect produced a drivers license and threw it in the officers face. The suspect attempted to leave and officers had to physically restrain him as he was taken into custody. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Codie L. Montano, 22, Boise

  Charges:Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 1000 block of West Main Street Saturday, October 1st, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect ask for merchandise, then waited for the clerk to reach down to close the cabinet and grabbed the bags before running out of the store without paying for them. Witnesses chased the suspect and he was taken into custody by police at 13th and Jefferson. The stolen merchandise was recovered. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Steven R. Hanselman, 23, Boise

  Charges:Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 100 block of East Myrtle Street Friday, September 30th, at approximately 6:00 p.m. Store employees tell police the suspect fraudulently obtained cash from clerks by claiming a machine had taken his money. Employees determined the suspect had not made a purchase that day and the suspect had been involved in a similar scam on two other prior occasions at the store. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
