10-12-11 Citizen call of drunk in the road leads to felony charges; Daily incident report

   Arrested: James D. King, 48, Transient

   Charges: 2 Counts of Battery on an Officer (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m)

    Boise Police responded to a citizens report of a drunk man, who appeared to be intoxicated, in the road at State Street and Veterans Memorial Parkway yesterday, October 11th, at approximately 6:00 p.m. As officers approached the suspect, he immediately turned and began to walk away. The suspect refused to comply with repeated instructions given by the officer to stop. Officers had to physically restrain the intoxicated suspect. During the arrest the suspect kicked one officer and spit in another officer's face, resulting in the battery charges. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
