09-19-11 Separate Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Assault arrests; Weekend incident report

   Arrested: Megan L. Dudley, 27, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Battery (F), Battery on an Officer (F)

    Boise Police responded to a disturbance at a residence near Mcmillan and Maple Grove Sunday night, September 18th, at approximately 11:30 p.m. The adult female victim tells officers she had been involved in an argument with the suspect and that evening the suspect became angry. At one point the victim says the suspect slapped her in the face and locked her out of the residence. A short time later the victim tells police the suspect struck her numerous times and slammed her hand in the door. Officers located the suspect, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time, in a room of the residence. The suspect refused to cooperate with officers. At one point, the suspect struggled with officers and kicked them as she was taken into custody. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Alan A. Brannen, 51, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)

    Boise Police responded to a disturbance at a residence near Five Mile and Ustick early Friday morning, September 16th, at approximately 5:00 a.m. The adult male victim tells officers he was awakened by the suspect, who also lives in the residence, breaking down the door and screaming direct threats at him. The victim, who was afraid for his safety called 911. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Evidence indicates the incident may have stemmed from property the suspect believed the victim may have damaged. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Cynthia R. Wood, 35, Boise

   Charges: Battery on an Officer (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m), 

    Boise Police conducted a welfare check at a residence near State and 27th Sunday evening, September 18th, at approximately 7:00 p.m. As officers contacted the suspect, who witnesses say had been breaking things, she became angry. At one point the suspect rushed an officer and challenged him verbally. The suspect refused to comply with officers commands and began to physically resist. During a brief struggle the suspect struck the officer more than once with feet and elbows. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Henry A. Romero, 32, Caldwell

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Resisting and Obstructing (m), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

  Boise Police responded to a citizen call of a disturbance at a residence near Linden and Gekeler Saturday night, September 17th, at approximately 8:00 p.m. The calling party tells police they heard a loud crash and a short time later a man was banging on their door. Officers located the suspect standing in front of the residence and observed the suspects vehicle that had been driven off the road, over a post and come to a stop on the front lawn of the home. As officers approached the suspect he began to run away. Officers watched the suspect as he attempted to hide in a bush and took him into custody. The suspect, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time, was transported to the Ada County Jail and a blood sample was obtained for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had 2 prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. Officers recovered several cans of beer, a baggie containing a small amount of marijuana and other items of drug paraphernalia from the vehicle. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Asley M. Stotts, 25, Boise

  Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Violation of a No Contact Order (m)

  Arrested: Raymond J. Lopez, 24, Boise

  Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m)

   Boise Police Patrol officers and Narcotics Detectives conducted a traffic stop near Curtis and Ustick Friday, September 16th, at approximately 10:00 a.m. Officers had obtained undisclosed information that the suspects had controlled substances in their possession at the time. Officers recovered approximately 1 oz total package weight of marijuana and approximately 500 prescription medication pills the suspects did not have documentation for. The suspects were booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

   Arrested: Zachary T. Ross, 22, Boise

   Charges: Fraudulent Use of a Financial Transaction Card (F)

    Boise Police arrested Zachary Ross at a bar on the 100 block of North 8th Saturday, September 17th at approximately 11:00 p.m. The arrest comes after a detailed investigation into the fraudulent use of the victims debit card to purchase drinks that same evening. The victim tells police he left his jacket for a short time and his debit card had been taken. Bar employees thought it was suspicious that the suspect was using the card with another persons name and detained him. After a detailed investigation, the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

 Arrested: Crystal B. Hower, 21, Boise

  Charges:Burglary (F)

  Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 300 block of Milwaukee Saturday, September 17th, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal several items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers located the suspect a short time later and recovered the items. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
