Airport officers arrest man for Interfering with a Flight Crew; BPD daily incident report

09-28-11 Airport officers arrest man for Interfering with a Flight Crew; BPD daily incident report

Arrested: Trevor L. Hess, 26, Redmond, WA
Charged: Interference with a Flight Crew (m) BCC 12-18-2, , Resisting & Obstructing Officers (m)

Officers from the Boise Airport Police Unit were called to a gate in the terminal about 6:30 p.m. last night when the pilot of a Horizon flight bound for Lewiston reported a man, seemingly intoxicated, refusing to comply with flight attendant instructions and making loud, vulgar comments to other passengers. The pilot made the decision to deny the passenger's flight due to interfering with the flight crew. The pilot called for officers to remove the passenger from the plane.

The aircraft, which had just left the gate, returned. When officers arrived, the passenger, identified as Hess, refused to follow officer's commands and initially refused to leave the aircraft. The suspect attempted to walk away from the officers several times as they tried to speak with him. Officers told the suspect if he continued to be uncooperative, he would be arrested. When officers asked for the suspect's identification, he again refused. He was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.
