Sexual Battery arrest; Daily incident report

08-02-11 Sexual Battery arrest; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Vincent M. Loya, 57, Boise

   Charges:Sexual Battery of a Minor (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody after a detailed investigation into allegations of lewd conduct that reportedly took place in a Boise home yesterday morning, August 1st. The incident was reported to police that morning and officers began the investigation. Officers located the suspect that evening at a convenience store near Emerald and Garden streets at approximately 10:00 p.m. The suspect was then taken into custody. The suspect is well known to the victim and officers have no evidence at this time that indicates other victims are involved in this incident.

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 15 CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS18-1508A.Sexual battery of a minor child sixteen or seventeen years of age-- Penalty. (1) It is a felony for any person at least five (5) years of age older than a minor child who is sixteen (16) or seventeen (17) years of age, who, with the intent of arousing, appealing to or gratifying the lust, passion, or sexual desires of such person, minor child, or third party, to: (a)  Commit any lewd or lascivious act or acts upon or with the body or any part or any member thereof of such minor child as defined in section 18-1507

  Arrested: Nathaniel Hollins, 27, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress in a West Boise neighborhood last night, August 1st, at approximately 9:00 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect was seen throwing a large rock through the window of a car, then going through the vehicle. Officers located the suspect as he walked away from the car and taken into custody without incident. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Eddie Gaona, 36, Boise

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m) Driving Without Privileges (m)

   Boise Police on patrol observed a vehicle travelling West on Overland approaching Orchard with no headlights or taillights early this morning, August 2nd, at approximately 2:00 a.m. and conducted a traffic stop. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect was currently suspended from driving. A search of the vehicle incident to that arrest revealed a small amount of meth, a small amount of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Frank M. Mausling, 52, Boise

   Charges: Battery on an Officer (F), Battery (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a fight at Veterans Park last night, August 1st, at approximately 7:00 p.m. Witnesses tell police  the suspect approached the victim in the park and began punching him. The victim tells police he had been involved in an ongoing dispute with the suspect who is known to him. After officers placed the suspect in handcuffs the man became combative, forcing officers to physically control him. At one point, the suspect spit on officers and struck them resulting in the Battery on an Officer charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Jake A. Martin, 19, Boise

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(F)

    Boise police contacted the suspect on foot Westbound at Boise Ave near Londoner early this morning, August 2nd, just after midnight. A voluntary search of the suspects person revealed a prescription medication. The suspect did not have a prescription for the medication.  The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
