08-25-11 Intoxicated suspect damages vehicles in parking lot; Daily incident report

Arrested: Troy D. Axthelm, 22, Cody WY.

    Charges:Malicious Injury to Property (F)

Boise Police on patrol received a citizen report of a vehicle vandalism taking place in a parking lot at the Boise Airport early this morning, August 25th, at approximately 2:30 a.m. The witness tells police he watched the suspect damage two vehicles. Officers located the suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, and took him into custody. Evidence indicates the suspect broke the parking control arm as he entered the parking lot, crushed the roof of a victims vehicle before ripping of the rear wiper assembly and side mirrors of another car. The damages to the victim's vehicles are estimated to exceed $1,500.00. The suspect is not known to the victims and officers were unable to determine why the suspect damaged the vehicles beyond his extreme level of intoxication. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Boise Police on patrol observed a vehicle stop in the crosswalk at Federal Way and Overland yesterday, August 24th, at approximately 11:00 p.m. As officers conducted a traffic stop they observed an open container of beer in plain sight at the feet of the driver, later identified as Jeffrey Myers. Officers located a pair of brass knuckles in the suspects pocket and later recovered a prescription narcotic the suspect did not have documentation for. During the stop a check through Ada County Records indicated the passenger, Elisa Carpenter, had a current warrant for her arrest on failure to appear charges. Officers recovered a glass pipe used to smoke marijuana from her person. During the course of the investigation, officers determined Elisa Carpenter was the suspect in a grand theft case involving the fraudulent use of a credit card that took place in June of this year. The suspects were booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
