Citizens catch burglary suspect in the act; Daily incident report

08-12-11 Citizens catch burglary suspect in the act; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Brett A. Frank, 32, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police on patrol responded to a citizens report of a Burglary in progress on the 5700 block of West Fairview yesterday, August 11th, at approximately 8:30 a.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect was seen entering the victim's parked vehicle and removing items in a business parking lot. One witness and the victim chased the suspect a short distance before physically detaining him near the corner of Bond and Beach streets. Officers arrived moments later and the suspect was taken into custody. During the chase witnesses tell police the suspect dropped the victim's purse. The victim's wallet was also recovered from the suspects person. The Suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Victoria M. Hill, 35, Boise

  Charges:Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 1800 block of East Warm Springs Ave yesterday, August 11th, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal a 24 ounce beer in a purse and then leave the store without paying for it. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
