07-15-11 Threats with a knife result in Felony Aggravated Assault arrest; Daily incident report

  Arrested: Brook A. Gregg, 29, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a disturbance in a neighborhood near Cloverdale and Fairview yesterday, July 14th, at approximately 6:00 a.m. As officers arrived they made contact with the victim who was waiting for police in the street. The victim tells officers the suspect, who is known to the victim, held a knife while making specific verbal threats to end his life inside the residence. Officers located the suspect in the residence. The suspect refused to leave the residence, displaying the knife at the door multiple times.  After several attempts to talk the suspect out of the residence a Meridian Police K-9, "Max" was deployed to take the suspect into custody. The knife was recovered from the home. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: James D. Garrison, 43, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Resisting or Obstructing (m), Parole Violation charges

    Boise Police responded to a report of a residential Burglary at a home in the north end yesterday, July 14th, at approximately 8:00 p.m.  The victim tells police she had returned home to find several items, including a digital camera, had been taken. After a thorough investigation officers obtained evidence that the suspect may have been involved in the burglary and could be found at a nearby address. As officers approached the suspect outside that residence the man saw the uniformed officers, ignored commands to stay put, and ran into the building slamming the door closed. Officers pursued the suspect into the residence and located him hiding in a closet. The stolen items were located sitting in plain sight in the living room of the residence. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Warrant Arrested: Ramon E. Ramos, 34, Garden City 

  Warrant Charges:Grand Theft (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into forged checks used to obtain cash at local banks. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in cashing the checks at multiple locations. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

   Warrant Arrested: Bernard C. Ackerman, 58, Boise

  Warrant Charges:Burglary (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary yesterday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of a bottle of alcohol from a retail store on the 1500 block of West State on May 17th of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect entered the store with the intent to steal the merchandise resulting in the burglary charge. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
