Mini crime spree lands man in jail on 2 Felony charges; Daily incident report

07-07-11 Mini crime spree lands man in jail on 2 Felony charges; Daily incident report

   Arrested: Mark J. Baird, 35, Boise

   Charges: Grand Theft (F), Burglary (F), Failure to Appear charges (m)

    Boise Police received a report of a stolen pickup from the area of Hawthorne and Taft streets yesterday, July 6th, at proximately 12:00 noon. The owner of the vehicle tells police he saw a stranger in his vehicle and attempted to confront him. The victim says the suspect drove away with his vehicle.

   As officers responded to the stolen vehicle call they received a second report from witnesses who tell police a suspicious subject was checking door handles and burglarizing a vehicle near Sunset and 36th streets. Officers located the suspect and took him into custody at Sunset Park. A detailed investigation indicates the suspect stole the pickup truck from Hawthorne and Taft, then drove to the area of Sunset Park and rummaged through vehicles. When he found one unlocked he took items form that vehicle. Officers recovered items stolen from the vehicles and the stolen pickup. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Sharon K. Larson, 60, Boise

   Charges: Manufacture of a Controlled Substance (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

    Boise Police received a citizen tip of marijuana growing in the back yard of a residence on the 5400 block of South Broadwing Way yesterday, July 6th, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Officers responded to the location and located approximately 8 potted marijuana plants growing in plain sight outside the back door. Officers obtained a warrant allowing them to search the residence for additional evidence. Officers recovered a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the home. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Rebecca L. Mattie, 36, Boise

   Charges: Aiding and Abetting a Grand Theft (F), Issuing checks Without Sufficient Funds (F)

    Boise Police and Boise Police Detectives arrested Rebecca Mattie yesterday after a detailed investigation into a fraud reported to police on July 5th. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in using a closed account to open another account and obtain cash starting in June of this year. Detectives believe the suspect obtained approximately $2,000 dollars in cash. After completing the investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Warrant Arrested: Gary E. Harmon, 45, Boise

  Warrant Charges: Burglary (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary yesterday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of property from a trailer that took place in February of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in the theft of items from the trailer that were later traded or sold. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

 Warrant Arrested: Marilynne J. Delrio, 52, Boise

 Warrant Charges:Burglary (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Burglary yesterday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of goods from a retail store in June of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect entered the store and took items without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to take the items resulting in the burglary charge.  That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
