    Arrested: David D. Mortensen, 59, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F) Unlawful Transportation of Alcoholic Beverage (Open Container)(m)

   Boise Police responded to a citizen's report of a possible drunk driver at Cole and Ustick yesterday evening, June 30th, at approximately 8:30 p.m. The witness tells police he observed the suspect's vehicle strike a curb and hit a trash can as the vehicle pulled into a convenience store. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .24/.26 at the Ada County Jail. Officers recovered a partially consumed beer in the passenger compartment resulting in the open container charge. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had a prior conviction for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
