Boise Police responded to a report of an
Aggravated Assault at a store on the 1500 block of West State
Friday, July 8th, at approximately 10:00 p.m. Employees tell police
the suspect was waiting in line to purchase alcohol when he became
agitated with cashiers. Witnesses tell police that after being
asked to leave the suspect displayed a large knife and made verbal
threats to two employees, resulting in the 2 counts of Felony
Aggravated Assault. The suspect was located as he attempted to walk
away from the store and taken into custody. The knife was located
concealed under the suspects shirt. The suspect was transported to
the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

Arrested: Samantha Chinea, 19, Boise
Charges:Trafficking (Marijuana) (F)
Boise Police Narcotics Detectives
arrested Samantha Chinea Saturday at a parking lot near Spectrum
and Saturn as part of an ongoing investigation into the trafficking
of marijuana. The suspect was attempting to sell approximately 1
pound (450 grams) of marijuana. The controlled substance is
valued at approximately $2,300.00.
The BANDIT Task Force investigates
gambling, prostitution and illegal drug use. The Task Force
includes Detectives from the Boise Police Department, Alcohol
Tobacco and Firearms agency and the Idaho National Guard, working
as part of a multi-jurisdictional task force called B.A.N.D.I.T.
(Boise Area Narcotics and Drug Interdiction Task Force),
commissioned to protect the community from illegal drug
activity.

Arrested: Christopher T. Richards, 33,
Boise
Charges: Grand Theft (F), Fraudulent Use
of a Financial Transaction Card (m)
Boise Police responded to a report of a
theft in a parking lot on the 2100 block of East Myrtle at
approximately 11:00 p.m. The victim tells police the suspect had
stolen her credit card earlier that evening and used it to purchase
alcohol in the store. The victim told police the suspect, who is
known to her, refused to return the card until moments before
police arrived. Officers located the suspect and after a detailed
investigation he was taken into custody. The suspect appeared to be
very intoxicated at the time. The suspect was transported to the
Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

Arrested: Armando M. Cisneros, 42,
Boise
Charges:Driving Under the Influence
(DUI)(F), Driving Without Privileges (m)
A Boise Police Officer observed a vehicle cross over
the double yellow line and swerve into his lane, almost striking
the officers vehicle near Cherry and Owyhee Streets early Saturday
morning, July 9th, at approximately 12:30 a.m. The suspect, who
appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field
sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary
testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect
had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The
suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed
charges.

Arrested: Derrick G. Brown, 18, Meridian
Charges:Burglary (F)
Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a
retail store on the 8300 block of West Overland Friday, July 8th,
at approximately 6:30 p.m. Store employees tell police that they
witnessed the suspect conceal items and then leave the store
without paying for them. Officers located the suspect a short time
later and recovered the items. Officers believe the suspect entered
the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the
burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail
and booked on the above listed charges.
