Burglary suspect caught in the act; Weekend incident report

06-20-11 Burglary suspect caught in the act; Weekend incident report

  Arrested: Mark V. Cowles, 41, Boise

   Charges: 2 counts of Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a burglary alarm at a retail store on the 10000 block of Fairview early Saturday morning, June 19th, just after midnight. Officers observed a broken glass door. As officers watched, the suspect exited through the broken glass door carrying a shopping bag full of prescription medications. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. During the course of the investigation detectives obtained evidence that the suspect had broken into the same store the previous evening resulting in the additional burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Donald W. Gutierrez, 30, Twin Falls

    Charges:Aggravated Battery (F)

    Boise Police on patrol at 6th and Main witnessed a fight taking place early Saturday morning, June 19th, at approximately 2:00 a.m. Witnesses tell police Donald Gutierrez was involved in a verbal argument with the victim that escalated into a physical fight. At one point, witnesses tell police the suspect struck the victim and knocked him to the ground. The suspect was throwing punches and strikes to the head and face of the victim. The victim appeared to be unconscious when the suspect got up. The victim was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, including lacerations to the head and face. The victim also may have suffered a possible broken collar bone. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Raymond A. Saiz, 42, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F)

    Boise Police on patrol on the 1800 block of West Main were contacted by a citizen about stolen property early Sunday morning, June 20th, at approximately 2:50 a.m. The witness was able to point out the suspect who was walking down the road nearby. Witnesses tell police the suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, had entered a co-workers vehicle in a parking lot and removed several items. The suspect was seen throwing some of the items into a dumpster and taking a bag with keys. When officers stopped the suspect he had some of the items still on his person. After a detailed investigation the suspect was taken into custody on the burglary charge and issued a citation for Malicious Injury to Property. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: David M. Masner, 35, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Carrying a Concealed Weapon while Intoxicated (m)

  Boise Police received a citizen report of a possible drunk driver on the 2300 block of Bogus Basin road Saturday, June 18th at approximately 6:00 p.m. Officers located the driver in a parking lot at Bogus Basin and Hill road. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. Officers recovered a loaded handgun from a center console in the vehicle. At the Ada county Jail the suspect blew a .27/.26. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had a prior felony conviction for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

 Warrant Arrested: Mitchell L. Chrapkowski, 20, Caldwell

  Warrant Charges:Grand Theft (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft Saturday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a stolen credit card and wallet. Evidence indicates the suspect used the stolen credit card to make more than $600 dollars in purchases. The wallet was taken from a locker at the victims job in February of this year. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

  Arrested: Devon S. Perryman, 24, Boise

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F), Probation Violation charges

   Boise Police on patrol Friday evening, June 17th, at approximately 9:00 p.m. conducted a traffic stop at Poplar and Allumbaugh. During the stop, officers determined one of the passengers, Devon Perryman had an outstanding warrant for his arrest on probation violation charges. A search of the suspects person incident to his arrest revealed a hypidermic needle with Meth Residue resulting in the Possession charge. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
