 Arrested: Billy R. Shearin, 37, Boise

  Charges:Burglary (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store near Alpine and Latah yesterday, June 21st, at approximately 10:30 a.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect enter a dressing room with numerous items, then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. Officers identified the suspect and determined he had a suspended drivers license and was currently on probation. Officers conducted a traffic stop shortly after the suspect left the store and located several stolen items of high end athletic clothing in the vehicle. Evidence indicates the suspect may be involved in several prior thefts at the store. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

 Charges:Criminal Conspiracy (F)

   Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8200 block of West Fairview yesterday, June 21st, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect, later identified as Brandon Young, take two 18 packs of beer and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charge. During the course of the investigation, officers determined the suspect had planned to take the items with the knowledge and assistance of Tyler Hunsaker, resulting in the Conspiracy charge. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
