Aggravated Battery with a frying pan and other crimes; Daily incident report

  Arrested: Daniel J. Lovely, 24, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Battery (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a fight at a residence near Cole and Overland early this morning, June 24th, at approximately 1:00 a.m. The victim tells police he had been involved in an argument with a roommate. At one point, the victim tells police the suspect used  a cast iron frying pan to strike him more than once in the head, breaking the handle of the frying pan. The victim was treated at the scene for a laceration on his head, then transported to a local hospital. His injury appeared to be non-life threatening at the time. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and the frying pan was recovered from the home. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Jack N. Bidigare, 59, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Fleeing or Eluding (F), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(m)

  Boise Police observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane as it negotiated a turn early this morning, June 24th, at approximately 2:00 a.m.  Officers stopped the driver in a parking lot on near Fairview and Cole. Officers noted the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the suspects vehicle. When officers asked the man to step out of the vehicle he refused, put the vehicle in gear and sped off at a high rate of speed. Officers pursued the suspect Eastbound on Fairview then North on Liberty Street. Officers witnessed the suspect speeding and running stop signs as he attempted to elude police. The suspect eventually pulled into a driveway near Hartman and Butte. Officers had to physically restrain the suspect to take him into custody as he continued to resist police. A search of the suspect incident to his arrest revealed approximately 7.3 grams total package weight of marijuana. A blood draw was performed at the Ada County Jail for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had a prior conviction for felony DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Crystal Mitchell, 20, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (Attempted)(F), Providing False Information (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a Burglary in progress near Apple and Boise Avenue early this morning, June 24th, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Witnesses tell police they saw two suspects with flashlights who appeared to be trying to get into parked vehicles. Officers located a female adult suspect who provided false identifying information to police. Officers later identified her as Crystal Mitchell and obtained evidence that indicates she had been attempting to locate items inside the vehicles to steal. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Charges:Burglary (F)

 Arrested: Quincy N. Wento, 18, Pheonix AZ.

  Charges:Burglary (F)

  Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 400 block of North Milwaukee yesterday, June 23rd, at approximately 6:00 p.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the two suspects conceal merchandise and then leave the store without paying for the items. Store employees detained Valentin just outside the store. The second suspect, Wento, was located a short time later at a nearby hotel. The stolen items were recovered. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the thefts resulting in the burglary charges. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

 Warrant Arrested: Adalfo R. Martin, 34, Caldwell

  Warrant Charges: Forgery (F), Probation Violation Charges

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Forgery yesterday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a check presented to a local business used to obtain cash. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in forging the signature on the check. The suspect used the document to obtain more than $1,000.00 from a local merchant late last year. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
