Threats with a knife result in Aggravated Assault charges; Weekend incident report

  Arrested: James L. Rimlinger II, 59, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)

    Boise Police responded to a fight with a knife at an apartment complex in the Northend Friday evening, May 6th, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect had been involved in a verbal dispute with the victim in the office. The victim tells police the suspect produced a knife, made verbal threats and held the weapon up to the victim's face. Officers located the suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated, in a nearby apartment and after a detailed investigation he was taken into custody. No one was injured in the incident. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   Charges: Grand Theft (F)

  Arrested: Betty J. Proctor, 28, Boise

  Charges: Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a theft in progress at a commercial building near Emerald and Orchard Sunday, May 8th, at approximately 1:30 p.m. Witnesses tell police they saw the suspects driving away from a parking lot with very large commercial air conditioning units that had recently been removed from the building. The witnesses followed the vehicle and relayed the location to officers, who located the stolen items at a residence on the 3500 block of West Chinden street in Garden City. After a detailed investigation the suspects were taken into custody and the air conditioning units, worth several thousand dollars, were recovered. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Virginia L. Cady, 60, Meridian

   Charges:Grand Theft by Possession (F)

Boise Police on patrol observed a vehicle near Warm Springs and Windsong that had been listed as stolen Sunday afternoon, May 8th, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Officers stopped the driver and verified the vehicle had been stolen from Hailey Idaho earlier that day. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: Eric W. Heilesen, 32, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police responded to a citizen report of a vehicle burglary in a Northend neighborhood Saturday, March 7th, at approximately 8:00 a.m. Victims tell police items had been stolen from a vehicle overnight. A short time after the report was received, officers received a citizen tip that merchandise matching the stolen items had been seen at a residence on the 900 block of Phillip street. At the residence officers recovered items that had been taken in the theft. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

 Warrant Arrested: Ralph D. Adermann, 39, Boise

  Warrant Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)(F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance Saturday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the possession of approximately 3 grams total package weight of meth discovered during a traffic stop on January 3rd of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect had knowledge of the substance in the vehicle at the time of the stop. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

    Arrested: Walter G. Anderson, 28, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police received a citizen call of a possible drunk driver who ran a red light and had trouble maintaining his lane late Saturday night, May 5th, at approximately 11:30 p.m. With the assistance of the calling party officers located the vehicle and in a parking lot on the 1400 block of Cormorant street and made contact with the driver. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, refused to participate in field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had a prior felony DUI conviction making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

 Warrant Arrested: Edward J. Jones, 54, Boise

  Warrant Charges:Grand Theft (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft Friday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into funds fraudulently taken from the suspect's bank in December of last year. At that time, evidence indicates the suspect used fraudulent means to inflate the amount of money listed in his account, allowing him to obtain funds from the bank. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

 Arrested: Susan R. Omalley, 42, Boise

  Charges:Burglary (F)

  Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 1500 block of West State Saturday, May 7th, at approximately 11:30 p.m. Store employees tell police they witnessed the suspect conceal several items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The items were recovered from the suspect. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
