Boise Police responded to a citizen report of a drunk driver Friday evening, May 20th, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot on the 6500 block of South Federal Way. Officers approached the vehicle and determined there were 3 children inside along with the driver. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, refused to exit the vehicle when officers requested. After repeated attempts to get him out of the drivers seat officers had to forcibly remove him from the minivan. The suspect failed several field sobriety tests and a blood sample was taken for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had 2 prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
