Officers arrest suspect on Injury to a Child warrant charges; Weekend incident report

04-25-11 Officers arrest suspect on Injury to a Child warrant charges; Weekend incident report

 Warrant Arrested: Kristin L. Rainey-Cox, 29, Meridian

Warrant Charges: Injury to a Child (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Injury to a Child Saturday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into an incident that took place on March 23rd of this year. On that date Boise Police responded to a restaurant on Fairview Avenue. An employee of the restaurant told police a child, under the age of ten, had entered the restaurant looking for food. During the course of the investigation officers obtained evidence that indicates the child had been present when drugs were used in a nearby home. The child had also been left alone on more than one occasion with strangers in a home where drugs were used. The child was turned over to the custody of the Idaho State Department of Health and Welfare. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
