04-27-11 Officers arrest barricaded suspect on Felony charges; Daily incident report

Arrested: Gary L. Harp Jr. 39, Boise

Charges: Intimidation of a States Witness (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m), Violation of a No Contact Order (m)

Boise Police responded to a residence on the Boise Bench yesterday, April 26th, at approximately 6:30 p.m. to conduct a welfare check, after receiving information from the Ada County Prosecuting Attorneys Office that the suspect may have been involved in intimidating a states witness by telephone. Officers approached the home and determined the suspect was inside, a violation of a current no contact order. Officers located the suspect barricaded inside a bedroom who refused to obey commands to come out. Officers had to physically remove the door and furniture that had been used to create the barricade to gain entry. Once officers got inside, the suspect was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
