 Warrant Arrested: Travis M. Barnhart, 25, Star

  Warrant Charges: Aggravated Battery (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Aggravated Battery Friday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a fight that took place at a bar on the 500 block of west Main in January of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect used  a pool stick during the fight to strike the victim in the head requiring transportation to a local hospital. The incident reportedly took place on January 20th and was reported to police on January 24th. The exact cause of the altercation is unclear at this time. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

    Arrested: Perla C. Gonzalez, 21, Homedale

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident

  Boise Police responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Front and 6th street early Saturday morning, April 9th, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect failed to yield to a stop light and struck another vehicle causing serious damage and injuries to the passengers. Witnesses tell police the suspect then fled the scene on foot. Officers located the suspect a short time later standing in the street at 9th and Broad. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .15/.15 at the Ada County Jail. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

    Arrested: Quoc D. Do, 38, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police received a citizen report of a drunk driver speeding and serving on the road late Sunday night, April 10th, just before midnight. Officers located the suspect vehicle and conducted a stop on the 10000 block of west Poppy street. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .10/.09 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had 2 prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

  Arrested: James G. Rhoads, 30, Boise

   Charges: Driving a Vehicle Without Owners Consent (F), DUI (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle taken from a parking lot on the 1400 block of north Bluff place Sunday evening, April 10th, at approximately 8:00 p.m. The victim tells police an acquaintance had taken her car without permission. The vehicle was located by Ada County Sheriffs Deputies a short time later having been driven off Bogus Basin road and sustaining damage. Ada County Deputies had arrested the suspect on DUI charges (See Ada County for details of that arrest). The suspect was charged with Driving a Vehicle Without the Owners Consent.

 Warrant Arrested: Claudine E. Sipili, 32, Boise

  Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft Sunday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the theft of funds from her employer starting in September of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect failed to make deposits after collecting debts from customers over a period of approximately one month resulting in a loss of more than a thousand dollars. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

 Warrant Arrested: Robert L. Currie, 41, Nampa

  Warrant Charges: Fraud (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Fraud Friday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into a fraudulent check the suspect attempted to cash at a retail store in November of 2009. Evidence indicates the suspect attempted to use the fraudulent check to obtain cash from the store. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

 Arrested: James E. Wray, 36, Boise

  Charges:4 counts of Burglary (F), Probation Violation charges

  Boise Police arrested the suspect Friday, April 8th, after a detailed investigation into several retail thefts starting in February of this year. Investigators have evidence that on four occasions the suspect concealed goods at local stores and then leave the stores without paying for them. Officers believe the suspect entered the stores with the intent to commit the thefts resulting in the burglary charges. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  The Boise Police department developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
