Arrested: Daniel S. Millard, 51, Garden City

Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Medications)(F), Frequenting a place where Drugs are Used or Sold (m)

A Boise Police patrol officer last night, March 9th, at approximately 9:52 p.m., observed a vehicle in an alley fail to stop before entering the roadway. The officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle at E. 39th Street and Chinden Blvd. in Garden City. As officers contacted the driver, identified as Daniel Millard, a Boise Police K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed a container with approximately 30 mg of a painkiller medication the suspect did not have a prescription for resulting in the felony possession charge.

At approximately 11:32 p.m. Boise Police officers observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn before running a stop sign as it travelled from W. State Street to Veterans Memorial Parkway. Officers stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, identified as Laura Baker. Again a Boise Police K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle and of the suspect revealed approximately 1.5 grams total package weight of meth and approximately 4.5 grams total package weight of marijuana. During their investigation, officers found evidence that Baker was on her way to the Garden City home of the previous suspect, Millard, intending to sell Millard marijuana, resulting in the controlled substance delivery charge. Officers also learned when Millard had been stopped earlier, he was coming from Baker's home, resulting in the frequenting charge. Both suspects were booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.
