Boise Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at a construction site on the 8600 block of west Fairview last night, March 30th, at approximately 10:00 p.m. A concerned citizen called police to report that he had seen two men leaving the construction site with multiple large rolls of metal chain link fencing tossed in the back of a truck. The witness tells police the suspects drove down a few doors and pulled into another parking lot before trying to secure the load in the vehicle. Officers located the suspects in the parking lot. After a detailed investigation officers determined the suspects had stolen the rolls of fencing, metal gates and posts from the construction site. Officers believe the suspects intended to sell the material to a metal recycling company for cash. The value of the material is estimated to exceed $2,000 dollars. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
