02-28-11 UPDATE: Suspect Photos; Officers Search for pair who robbed Pharmacy

    UPDATE: Feb 28, 2011, 12;15 p.m. - Boise Police detectives continue to investigate the armed robbery of a pharmacy on the Boise Bench Friday night. Investigators have obtained several surveillance photos from the incident they hope will help identify the suspects.

    New and of note is the suspects backpack, very visible in the photos as ablack backpack with a bright yellow stripe that follows the zipper.

    The suspect description has also been updated to include black Vans or van-style shoes with white shoelaces.He had been previously described as a light-skinned male, approx 5' 6" with blue eyes.

    Also new is a photo of a man officers believe is the second suspect,the driver of the vehicle. That suspect is described as wearing a large grey sweatshirt, dark ball cap with what appears to be a light brim and white logo on the front and dark pants.

    Previously released:The suspect was last seen getting into a vehicle that had been backed into a parking space at the nearby Moxie Java coffee shop. The suspect vehicle appeared to be driven by the second suspect and left the area.

    Suspect Vehicle:Older 90's Honda, dark colored with a loud muffler.

   Boise, Feb 25, 2011, 10:00 p.m. - Boise Police are searching for a pair of men who robbed a drug store pharmacy earlier this evening.

    What Happened: Boise Police were called by employees of the Rite Aide drug store at Vista & Kootenai at 8:35 p.m. reporting the pharmacy had just been robbed.

    Witnesses told officers a man wearing a black full-face ski mask came into the store, walked straight to the pharmacy, jumped over a half-door to get inside the pharmacy and confronted an employee with a knife. The suspect demanded pain killer medication. He left the store with an undisclosed amount of meds. Officers were quick to arrive on scene and did an immediate area search but have not located the suspects.

    The suspect was last seen getting into a vehicle that had been backed into a parking space at the nearby Moxie Java coffee shop. The suspect vehicle appeared to be driven by another male and left the area.
